The coalition government’s flagship education programme: Free Schools are independent state-funded schools set up in response to what local people and groups want and need in order to improve education for children in their community. Cleanslate has been working with the DfE & EFA since the election to provide strategic advisory and programme management services. Lara Newman has supported the delivery of all open and planned Free Schools and also leads on future schools focusing on relationships with Free School groups, site search and selection, deal closure and technical feasibility.

The transfer of lead responsibility for Public Health from the NHS to local government is a key strand of the Government’s Health and Social Care Act.
Cleanslate managed the transformation of Public Health Service’s on behalf of the UK’s second largest local authority. This involved overseeing the colocation of the Public Health teams from five individuals PCTs with the local authority and the implementation of an interim target operating model.

Mermaid Maternity Retreats have been conceived to provide pregnant women and new mothers with mutual support and friendship leading up to and after giving birth. The centres operate on a membership basis, providing relaxation and exercise sessions for up to 6 months before and 6 months after birth combined with a 3/5 night supported stay following discharge from hospital. The Chelsea facility is housed in a 10,000 sq. ft. converted unit above Heals on the Kings Road, London. Cleanslate both invested in the new venture and is providing Client Support for what will be the first in the UK roll out of these much needed facilities.

The RLSB is a charity that has existed for over 170 years to help blind and partially sighted (BPS) young people live life without limits. Cleanslate provided business planning services and, using established contacts to, brokered agreements with individual commissioning authorities, in addition to project managing the charity’s Nursery Pilot. The pilot delivered a nursery for BPS children in South East London, with an intention to deliver a further 30 settings across the South East.

The Ofsted Outstanding Waldegrave School for Girls in Twickenham will be adding 6th form provision from September 2014.
